Applications invited from educational institutions for free classes on various biology and biotechnology topics

CiBET conducts several free classes and awareness campaigns to educate the common public and for providing exposure in advanced areas of science to students of academic institutions in rural areas and those institutions who cannot otherwise afford conducting seminars or symposia in such areas. CiBET arranges resource persons and meets the expenses of conducting the classes. If your institution is in a rural area or if you feel your institution may not afford conducting such events, please send in your application to CiBET indicating the field in which you want the classes and how that will benefit your students. CiBET will decide on which institution is to be offered the service. The offer is not applicable for self financing colleges or institutes. CiBET to organize environmental awareness campaign in December 2006

In december this year, CiBET will be conducting education campaign where the main motto will be a plastic free environment. Classes will be conducted by eminent personalities at various locations on solid waste management and on reducing the plastic wastes. CiBET celebrates Ist Birthday

CiBET completed an year of existence on June 9, 2006. Past year saw the birth of the organization as an effort by a group of committed scientists and social activists. In a fuction organized at Karunagapally, the CiBET general body met and discussed the achivements and future plan of action. The director board decided to further widen the activities and to take up externally funded projects in creating public awareness towards environmental issues and for providing job oriented trainings to the needy
