Centre for Innovative Biology and Environmental Technology (CiBET) is a non governmental organization conceived by a group of scientists and technocrats to bring science closer to the society and immediately beneficial to the common man.

At CiBET, we work towards a greener environment. The NGO educates public on the use of scientific principles to better their lives, at the same time contributing to a greener world. We conduct awareness classes free of cost at rural areas and at deserving educational institutions.

Out aim is neither to deter progress in the name of environment, nor to advocate technology without considering the issues faced by people. We aim for an integrated development involving the public by eductaing them and bringing them along in the path to progress

When the organization was conceived in June 2005, we decided that the NGO will create its own funds for the functioning. This we aimed to generate through offering consultancies, contract R & D and analytical services for industries. Our capital was the volunteers who pioneered this concept and were willing to dedicate their time and energy for common good. We had a team of highly qualified professionals who could spare their time in doing non profit work for the centre.

After one year of existence, We still follow and stand for the same principles, and the only change is the increase in number of our volunteers and members. In this one year period we have been able to conduct several free science lectures and awareness classes in eductational institutions, and the NGO could meet its expenses through the royalty received from consultancy services
